Great. I guess I'm in the right place today. Let's see how I can destroy my company. Well, let's see...I can't come up with one... Just kidding. All I have to do is tell those people that call me, that they are smart enough to figure out their own problem and watch out. My entire company will fall apart in my hands. It would be absolutely funny to watch it happen. Is anybody at work on a Saturday afternoon?

I am now watching the John Ashcroft nomination hearings---streaming live offa the New York Times. It's been three hours now. Ted Kennedy has not let me down.

Hey, these questions need to be asked. Segregation in St. Louis in 1980? Sued the National Organization of Women (NOW) for the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA)? C'mon-----

Work is boring today...I've counted all the tiles on the ceiling...I've filled the waste basket with wads of paper...I've looped all my paper clips together...I've even walked around the office several times.

Sometimes I do these visualization exercises where I picture what I want, and somehow my subconscious mind is going to shape the outcome to these various ends. It really helps when I am trying to fall asleep.

Well, I have been picturing lately that I don't have to come to dumb old work, and can instead stay home and write all the live long day. Think if I got really deep into it, after publishing everything written thus far, I'd like to do some non-fiction. Cuz, I was thinking, what if this did happen, and I ran out of juice?

I'm walking around like James Thurber's Walter Mitty w/ my head in the clouds, but it's fun.

Funny, I watched the hearings today too. Although technically not at "work." i"m at a conference in kansas city (whoo hoo) and bowed out of the conference early...It's really quite remarkable the amount of schmoozing that can take place at a conference of fundraisers.

Funny part is that while I felt bad about ditching the last half of the day, I learned that my boss hasn't actually gone to any of the conference. He must be watching the hearings too.

Love Ted Kennedy, he kicked some ass today.

You know...Bush's picks are like M&Ms...they; all look different...but they all taste the same.

It's amazing what the feedback has been on the Ashcroft hearings, it's like, did the media watch the same thing I did?

People are demonizing Ted Kennedy, and I thought he did a FABULOUS job.

Well, Ted has things in his closest that I don't like. He should have been the first Kennedy to go, not JFK or Bobby or even JFK jr. But my opinion I'll keep to myself because they're are those on this thread that might like him. I don't and nor will I ever. He killed a woman and got away with her murder. Maybe he'll someday find out what his true punishment is. But that's what I know. Sorry to talk about Dear Ol' Teddy.

That- and my script "Property of the State" also has the end of the world in it- and i do mean END- (not some hokey humans poking their heads out of the ground in the last scene)

haven't been to this board in a few days, bec. have been busy at work.

i agree that ted kennedy has a nasty scandal in his background, but i like the way he votes. he has a good conscious for social causes, and stands up for values his brothers also stood up for, and i'm sad any of them are gone.

filibuster, please--------

Hell yeah I'm posting from work, and now that it has been announced that my office will be closing here in Denver - those posts will probably be increasing.

Does anyone have blocked sites at work? My friend has yahoo & all email sites blocked.

My co-worker is a bigger goof-off than me & it annoys me, because he is supposed to be assistant director and I'm just a communications assistant. It's so typical. The one who does most of the work gets paid the least.

Posting here is my passive aggressive response.
