Hello,
We are Cocoon films. My partner and I attended the project Greenlight top 10 screening on Monday and were very impressed by the quality of everything we saw. We were impressed also with some of the top 250 screenplays that we read and noticed how one of the top 30 was actually initially a top 250 alternate. We think there must be many excellent scripts that did not reach the top 10. If you have a script that you think should be made you can email me at Billy@Cocoonfilms.com or mail the screenplay directly to our Burbank office:
Billy LaVigna
Cocoon Films
3500 West Olive Ave. Suite 1470
Burbank,CA 91505

About Cocoon Films: We are an independent Production Company that has produced a number of independent films, most recently "Whitebread" starring Jenny McCarthy, Liam Waite and Harry Shearer. My partners John Asher and Ken Jacobson Directed and Co-produced "Diamonds" distributed by Miramax last December and starring Lauren Bacall, Kirk Douglas and Dan Aykryod.

Hi Cocoon Films,

Just wanted to welcome you and introduce myself. I am the Executive Producer of this site and I would be happy to "show" you around. I also have a film and television development background so we can discuss what you might be looking for.

Please contact me at Live Planet if you need anything. The success of our members is really important to Chris, Matt , Ben and myself and I would like to help any way I can.

Also, I encourage you to hang around the boards and chatrooms. For the most part, we have a really fun and smart community that loves talking about film, writing and creating. They are also appreciative of any insight into the biz you can offer.

Best,
Sheila McLaughlin
Executive Web Producer

Kit,

You are such a cool person!

And I wanted to tell by the way that I really like the design of the pop-up window announcing the winner.

Just wanted to chime in and say that these guys are the real deal, Fellow Greenlighters. I recently optioned my PGL script JUST A PHONE CALL AWAY to them and am currently rewriting. After I turn in that draft, these guys will start shopping it around (or at least that's the plan). I've only met Ken so far, but he's a really cool guy who seems very motivated. Thanks to Signman for hooking me up with him!

Well, gosh. I just sent my script 20,000 DAYS to you. Hope you can see the potential in it.

Hey, since you are reading this, why don't you grab 20,000 DAYS and review it yourself. I'd be interested in hearing more feedback on it.

Thanks.

I have several scripts myself. Most of them are written for stage, but I have a few that really should be filmed.

I'll email you a treatment for the dark fantasy piece I'm doing.

Thanks for the opportunity. I am currently trying to get my entertainment company off of the ground. I could use some help. I would be very interested in talking to you by via phone. Please e-mail me to set up a time that works for both of us.

Hi Wasabi,
You are right, we have received quite a number of responses. But my partners and I intend on reading each and every script submitted. We tend to give priority to full screenplays sent to us and have not gotten around to responding to most log lines or "pitches". We are anticipating having enough free time this summer if the SAG strike happens to read every script we have received. In the meantime we are doing our best to read and respond back to those we can. We believe in the "PGL" idea and look forward to many great things happening with it.
Billy

Still looking, Billy? Got a great recipe for you. Take a little bit of steel magnolias, add a dash of the wizard of oz, and a pinch of harry potter - now you've got "Yesterday's Child." Add soundtrack by Harry Connick, Wyonna and Naomi and Aaron Neville (lyrics by this author, also) email: Hannahwrites@aol.com

I have written five scripts. I would like to submit one for your review. Is there a particular genre you prefer?

Thanks,
