okay - here are some things that really messed me up this time around:

***i submitted my sp in the 11th hour (east coast time) i was one of the "adobe problem child people" who submitted my script to be converted with a couple of hours to spare and didn't get my converted document back for four or five days...i'm sure you're already doing something about that whole fiasco - just thought i'd mention it again. and i really appreciate you guys giving me the chance to upload my script after the "deadline"

***because this turned out to be such a huge contest, the review process is designed to allow a bunch of poor sports to trash perfectly decent scripts in order to eliminate the competition. PLEASE - CHARGE $50 TO ENTER YOUR SCREENPLAY NEXT YEAR...MAKE IT PAYABLE ONLY BY CREDIT CARD. This will at least weed out some of the rif-raffy 16-year-olds who are bored and annoying.

***i don't think you should just be able to join as a "reviewer." AGAIN, it's the whole they-can-trash-good-scripts-so-their-friends-can-win-the-contest thing. CHARGE PEOPLE $20 TO BE A REVIEWER OR SOMETHING.

***only allow one user name per IP address.
(that whole dual handle thing is really distracting)

***YES, this contest was about amateurs getting together and writing for the first time (myself included), but i think you should take it to the next level because there are lots of us who aren't amateurs anymore who still want to be a part of this.
i don't know what you can do to refine this a little, but please look into it.

***it was soooo obvious some of my reviewers did not even read my script. one word answers, no descriptive details, etc... my sp wasn't that great, but it was only my first attempt...maybe the reviewer cannot move on until he/she has entered a certain number of characters(letters) in the fields where you have enter written feedback..?(but then you'd have those lazy people just entering the letter x a hundred times to use up the space.) anyway, i feel like i didn't get enough feedback...PLUS, the whole option where you recommend or pass was ambiguous. please clearly spell out what each of the options mean for people OR just simply eliminate it altogether if it has a lot to do with what scripts make the top 250.

***then there were people passing on scripts just becasue they didn't enjoy reading that particular genre...PUH-LEEEAAASE. I fucking hate science fiction, but i patiently read through an entire sci-fi script and gave it a good review because i liked the characters and the story line.

okay, that's all for now. i'll add more if i think of anything else.

thanks for reading

Well, you can't limit handles by IP address. I live in a major metropolitan area and thousands of people have my same IP and probably even the same dial-up number for their modem. Maybe even a few other Greenlighters, too.

But the thing about people logging on as ten different reviewers or getting their friends to do it would be greatly hampered if NO VOLUNTARY reviewing was even possible until AFTER all mandatory reviewing had been done and those mandatory reviews were randomly assigned.

I know that two of my "mandatory" reviews were actually reviews that I solicited on these boards.

PEACE,
