Hi TS, How're you doin' today?
I have a question. We finally had our Boston party, and have pics posted in a yahoo briefcase. How do we post individual pictures from that briefcase? I know you do the [IMG]...[/IMG] thing. I tried it before and it routed the viewer back to the briefcase/site. Just curious if you can bring any light into the situation.
Many thanks,
Ignorida Sombida

Hey Sombida,

Where's this briefcase located? Let me do some experimenting to see if I can help you out.

Thanks

Just an observation (and I am not Tech Support, lol, but I hear they have wild parties):

I have my screenplay in my Yahoo briefcase and it has to be set to "public" with no restrictions whatsoever.

I put a restriction on mine to make its contents accessible to 18 yrs or older so if I posted a picture from that source, it would only send you to the site and ask you to log in.

Maybe your briefcase has some kind of interference like that???????

PEACE,
uhuru1701

Hey TS thanks,
I guess laser braids already posted them on the boston pgl party thread. They were in my yahoo briefcase. The thing is I tried doing the [img] thing and it didn't work. I'll try again here. Also, I guess the pictures are only available for the life of the briefcase (per laser's experience). so we'll have to post them elsewhere, on another website.

okay, this is what I did:
(the IMG with brackets, then no spaces) http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/slhdavis/mike/foofies/sombida. (then the /IMG with brackets around it)

Hi guys,

uhuru was absolutely right (and under all the pressure too - I'm very impressed). You have to make sure that album is set to 'Public'

To do that:

1) pull up your album list on Yahoo! Photos

2) hit the pencil icon to the right on the album your photo is in (Edit)

3) Make sure 'Public' is checked

Thanks

yeh, it's already set to public/everyone. I know laser was able to do it from my yahoo site, maybe I can wrangle it out her.
Thanks folks,
Sombida

Here you go

Last step - pull up the picture - then click on the picture. Look in the location bar - it will give you the URL. This one is:
http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1639183&a;=12540993&p;=46293311

I took the pic from Yahoo! and switched it over to photopoint by the way - hope you don't mind.

By the way - H-O-T!

Since none of your pics are posting, here is your last resort...

Go to the briefcase.

Make the picture appear on your monitor screen by clicking on its link.

RIGHT-click inside the picture.

Choose "Save As" and download it to your own hard drive and REMEMBER where you downloaded it to. (If you already have it on your hard drive, you can skip these first steps)

Go to http://www.postmypic.com and upload your picture.

Wait until PostMyPic changes to the next screen and it will give you the URL of your image.

Come back here to PGL and post that URL between the [img] tags.

I know you said those pics were already posted but this info might help for future pics.

PEACE,
uhuru1701

Yeah.. what uhuru said...

or use www.photopoint.com

Yahoo! seems to want to you link the entire album and not individual photos - kind of sucks.

Let me know if you need more help - Uhuru and I got your back
