A body shop place. They've been holding it over 30 days and say they want it off their lot even though, it's undrivable and they want 2k for storage fees. Everyone (even them) told me "not to worry about it until you hear what come of the insurance companies".

i've had friends go through this.

look on any paperwork they've given you. it should show what time period you are allowed to keep your car on the premises.

if you don't pay, they will sell it at auction for about $200. (something to know if you're negotiating with them)

My big ? is what the hell is up with your insurance company? They should be paying this and moving on!!

When you get your new car I have recommend the insurance company I'm using. I've never had a problem with them and they came through big when my car got stolen.

I'm looking at the paperwork and it says NOTHING. All they wrote was:

*Frontend Per Insurance Estimate*

then the policy number.

How can they not help? Are you not insured for what happened?

Yeah, but the two insuance companies are still going over the details.

This is a bunch of shit, if you ask me. I not only lost a car, but now my insuance is going to go up because of this rich fuck.

I am insured.. I don't get this at all. Everything I am doing I did as I was told but nothing is working out. AHHHHHH! My insurance company is saying "We don't know about California law. Ask them." And "them" is not returning my phone calls.

if your insurance company doesn't do anything, i would suggest telling them you'll pay for the work, but not the storage.

and if the work is over $300, I'd negotiate down.

Tell them you know the car won't sell for over $100 so their best option is to give it back to you for a couple hundred.

again, not your problem. they should pay and get the money from the other insurer when the details are figured out.

are you insured for a rental?

what did the estimator say?

"them" = MetAuto
"them" totaled out my car.
My insurance is an insurance company I went to under a co-workers influence.
I was already charged for a rental - $300, which I put on my company card- SaulGoodMan. Oops, I forgot to pay it before I got layed off.
I am quite angry. I just want a car without all this....shit.

Have you called your state insurance commisioner and filed a complaint?

I worked in a chiropractic neurology/physical therapy office for five years, I have made many a call and sent many a letter to the insurance commisioner.

The office can also give you advice on what to do.
