Let me reiterate what I said on the other thread:

It looks fantastic, guys--sean michael, vince. Wow. I'm really proud of you!

Picture looks great, sound is amazing (love the music--like the sweet icing on the cake), and the editing is really sharp and interesting. You guys did a great job. It looks like you spent loads and loads of money (even though I know you didn't). Way to get a beautiful product and keep in budget.

I'd hire you. Best of luck.

But who's the freaky lookin' guy playing the lead?

Great job, Vince.

Everytime I try to open it on my MAC it opens as a final draft file. wtf?

Okay I got it to work, it's pretty nice. My only problem with it is that I have read the script and you have much more dramatic scenes in it than what you showed. Basically I don't think you filmed enough different scenes for the trailer, but I think you have practically nailed the production value. Almost all of the shots look striaght up pro and most of the acting was pretty fucking tight. The only thing is what I said before, you don't show enough of the story in the trailer. And also your wardrobe was kind of lacking, but the editing was really good as was the sound(which also means the actual music). Good shit guys and good luck with your venture.

Thanks for your input.

Yes, we agree it would've been nice to shoot more scenes IF this were an actual theatrical trailer. But we shot this to show that we can actually make a film - it also would've cost us a great deal more to shoot more scenes, hence we chose what we thought would give a good sampling of the film and what we have to offer as filmmakers.

And the MUSIC - wow! We are SO happy with what our composer (Luke Kaneki) did. Music is such an important part - and he fucking nailed it!

Again, thanks for your feedback!

dude, kong, i totally agree with u, that was my only thing i had a problem with, there is so much more to the film, i still think we coulda taken more shots of certain things, but time was-a-wastin, so we did what we could. thanks for your input bro!

Perhaps we should do a DVD with deleted scenes? Director commentary?

Excellent job, Sean and Vince.

I've worn the tape out and need another one.

Now all we need to do is find a producer, have him raise the money, find the other actors, hire a top notch crew, get through pre-production without spending the whole budget, get through the shoot without spending the whole budget, get through post production without spending the whole budget, get the film accepted and screened at festivals, get it picked up and distributed, make it a success, and get our next job.

Other than that we're set.

I'm always amazed when Mark actually makes a serious post. I wanna go over and check his temperature to make sure he isn't running a fever!

Anyway, thanks for the pimp Mark... and you know Estebaun is yours for the taking. (wait, that sounds wrong... the ROLE of Estebaun is yours for the taking!)

Cristo - well...

Cristo is Christ in Spanish
A Monte Cristo is a sandwich deep fried in egg batter
And of course there is always the Count of Monte Cristo

But the Cristo WE'RE referring to is a fictious small town in rural America, were a group of teenaged boys come-of-age by a means no one should have to experience!

And honey, if you're gonna be at Denny's, you KNOW I'll be there!

Yes it does. Perhaps we should add a scene that takes place in the Denny's. You could do a small cameo as the misunderstood assistant manager that always get passed over for promotion.

Well, as I've said in the past, I want to thank PGL for making it possible for me to meet someone like Vince. He and I clicked creatively from day one. (I've made quite a few other friends that I've enjoyed working with as well)

I just hope that this isn't about just making one movie, it's about the filmmaking community they've created.

Mark my words, The Kids of Cristo will be another film made because of Project Greenlight!

See y'all at the premiere!

I just watched the trailer again and not to say the same things again, but how could you not have filmed some of the opening/ending scene? HOW? That's the hook! That's the scene you can cut to through out the entire trailer! Just curious...

I completely agree with you - but to properly shoot that scene would require about 100 extras, wardrobed in matching school uniforms a large EXT location, etc.

Remember, Vince and I produced this ourselves, with what resources we had at our disposal.

I hope you can appreciate what we did with what we had. It wasn't a creative choice NOT to shoot that scene, I wish we could've shot that scene, plus about 10 more, but alas we could not.

But WAIT til we make the film - I guarantee you'll be impressed!

Kind of like Kevin Smith shooting Clerks in b&W..cause; it was cheaper! But he'd like to say it was an artistic choice.

You're right, I apologize.

Let's discuss projection aspect ratios. We plan to shoot in 2.35:1 - as opposed to 1.85:1 - what are you feelings? (your response should be in 25 words or less, and please use a #2 pencil)

Thank you, and long live Cinema!

Wow. I was all into this, until the number 2 pencil part. It has stumped me. How do I type with a number 2 pencil??

D. Lane - you are such the big tease! You probably won't even show up ya talker, you.
