ARRRGGHHH!!

I went into an office pool for last night's Lotto drawing and we got all but one number. True, we won $1620, but that's nothing spread over 37 people and it's ESPECIALLY nothing next to $90 Million! The one consolation is that no one won the jackpot last night, so it'll be $125 Million by the weekend & we can play again.

Many people find the idea of lotteries stupid, but hey, I have $35 more than I did yesterday...

Anybody else have close calls like this?

Wow! I've never come that close and I don't know anyone who has.

I had thought the prize was usually bigger than that for five out of six, but maybe it's the four plus the mega that's the higher pot, I can't remember.

oh, nevermind. I just checked. It's the five but no mega that usually pays around $20,000.

the lottery is for weak willed cretins.

i only play the scratchy scratch kind where you need a penny to play!

Mojave - the same thing happened to me on the 5th. I matched 6 out 7 numbers at on online lottery site. The 7th number was 14 and my choice was 13.

I got a thousand bucks though, which is always nice. And it didn't cost me anything to play.

I totally understand your bitterness though, it hurts to come so close and no closer.

True stories.

I am psychic, but sometimes I'm a little (or a lot) stupid!

One night, I was thinking how nice it would be to win the lottery and feel asleep. When I awoke, I remembered a dream in which I saw all the lottery numbers being picked. I remembered them clearly, but DECIDED NOT TO PLAY. Well, guess what? I would have won over 2 million dollars! (Massachusetts lottery)

Another time, I missed the million dollar lottery by one number and threw away the ticket. I would have collected $100,000 had I cashed it! I cannot tell you what happened to it or why I did that! STUPID!

I won a car once, too!
