pete- i've been titled a glom-on in the message board for being interested in working on your project...but so be it. if you're looking for hard working/talented cast and crew members willing to work for nothing, i'd be interested in joining your team. you obviously are a talented and witty guy based on your video submission, so i know it would be a good time. i'd be a good p.a. on the set, but i'm more interested in acting than crew work. let me know if you're interested... ogradyjere@hotmail.com if i don't hear from you, congratulations anyway. you deserve it as much as any other person, and i wish you the best with your very soon to be high profile career! hey pete i'm actually from illinois (grew up in moline and went to college in wheaton, a western suburb of chicago), but i've be in san francisco for the past 3 years. however, i'm planning to move to l.a. soon, and spending a few months in chicago before that would be great. i have some family (a brother) and a ton of friends who still live in downtown chicago, and i've even been debating moving back there vs. los angeles. do you have a time frame for when you are going to start shooting? i've just started rehearsing for a community theater play here that doesn't close until the second weekend in june. ...not to say that i wouldn't be willing to leave before that, but just curious. for some reason i had it in my head that filming for this contest was going to start sometime in may, but i don't know if that is accurate. anyway, that is the long answer to your question. hopefully i haven't disqualified myself, because i think this film experience is going to be really cool. Hey Pete, I too am very interested in doing some set PA work on your film. I am currently a film student at Cal State Monterey Bay. I just finished working as a set PA on a Jim Carrey movie called "The Majestic," which is directed by Frank Darabont. I live in Chicago and have produced/shot news, as well as shot/directed/edited a 16mm short on the side. Let me know which positions are available if you are shooting in Chicago.
