First off I want to congratulate you on your win, Well DONE. I read your SP a while ago and I liked it. But NOW questions to quench my curiosity.

1)Are they letting you pick your own crew?

2)What equipment are you shooting this on?

3)Are you scared to the point of empting your bowls or what?

4)What kind of legal battles did you have to conquer so far(interms of contract, actors, general movie stuff)???

5)Are they throwing schedules, and task at you everday, or are you in control?

I am also curious how an actor's strike will affect Pete's movie or will it be finished with principal photography by then?

PEACE,

Oh Thunderfoot,

Don't be upset if Pete doesn't respond right away to your post - I think he is in Chicago for the next 2 months to start filming.
Hopefully he'll have some time to post but who knows.

If PETE does read this: Hi
I saw some little girls who set up a lemonade stand today and I stopped and bought my 25 cent cup of lemonade in honor of little Pete. Then the little girls gave me a form to fill out on if I thought the lemonade was good, great etc. Is that funny.
So here's to ya PETE

Thunderfeet,

Let me try to answer those questions one by one. And thanks for the kind words.

1. Yes, I am sort of picking my own crew. Sort of meaning they narrow the choices to 5 or so and I pick the one I think is the best. Now, when you pick your DP, your DP brings with him his own crew of gaffers etc. Same is true for production designers.

2. It's being shot on 35mm but the equipment we're not sure about.

3. Scared, NO. Anxious. HELL YEAH. My mindset is I got nothing to lose, and when you have nothing to lose, it's tough to be scared. The movie bombs? I've been unemployed before. Still got the wife and kid. AND JENNY'S PREGNANT WITH OUR SECOND KID. So that helps keep my perspective.

4. The legal issues seem to pop up everyday, mainly with the cast. I'll post the cast officially on the site sometime this week. Hopefully.

5. They throw things at me all day. The director has to make a decision on everything, and some things I am capable of doing on my own and other decisions I need serious input. But we're still not full speed into preproduction. Next week we start full speed ahead.

Pickel,

Love the lemonade story. Again, without being sappy, your support is seriously appreciated. You and the other core members make this whole project worthwhile.

Pete,

Thanks for taking time out to answer my questions, and congrats on the second little one. I'll send you a few questions from time to time if that's okay, I'm really curious about the process.

And I read your SP, it's very good, and I don't think it has a chance in hell of flopping. Your audience, probably mostly children will eat it up, and the parents will appreciate it, because it has HEART, and it makes you think.

GOOD LUCK

Hey fellow uninvoked praetorian guard

lets start a name Pete's baby thread

If it's a girl I think Pickel would be a good name.

If it's a boy Dill.

____________

Agreed. The audience will be mostly children.

Anyone who doesn't like the movie will say that it is targeted at children, just like the Joe Camel cigarette ads used to be, before the tobacco companies promised not to target children in their ads any more.

Makes you think.

BillHayes - don't make me come after you! You are twisting other people's words again, to suit your ends. You are truly one of the more vapid brains in PGL. I'm sure you'll be banned from going to the next top 30 party next year, too, like you were this year's. Why not jog down to the neighborhood drug store or health food store and pick up some ginko biloba - it's supposed to be good for memory, etc.
