i think it would be cool for us to start another roundtable. would you be interested in doing it...... we can help out our fellow greenlighters.........

let me know when you get to

adam and erica
if aliens go to heaven
space pants
on the fence

I read Adam and Erica over the weekend. I went to your top 250 briefcase and started at the top, so I read

A Martha Stewart Situation
I think this script would work better as a short story. It has a nice moral, but I didn't enough happened to last 90 minutes.

Adam&Erica;
I thought that was an interesting well thought out idea. It held my interest to the end. The dialogue and characters were good. But I never felt like I bonded with the story if that makes any sense at all.

No sense of visceral enjoyment, my emotions were never involved, it really didn't matter to me if they got what they wanted, I was just sort of mildly curious.

An Indie Film
After all the buzz with this script both good and bad, I was surprised by it. I actually liked it. It was interesting and I was concerned about the characters. I can't say it was the most original thing I've ever read, but it was entertaining.

First Woman
This was very cute. A very fun, new idea which was executed quite nicely. Not for everyone, many people would find it blasphemous (sp), but I liked it a lot.

Frank_Principle.pdf
Wow, this is a very heavy script with a lot going on in it. There is just enough comedy to balance out some of the drama so you don't want to shoot yourself after you read it.

I loved the characters and I cried more than once while reading it. Nice job Queenie.

Buddy and Soul
I was totally confused by this script. I honestly could not figure out what was supposed to be real and what was supposed to be fantasy. Maybe that's what Shapely was going for, I don't know. I can't even tell you if it had a happy or sad ending.

But, it was a very interesting read, I kept on going thinking I would get it but I never did.

I also read Goop last week, for some reason I thought gman wrote it.
That's a very cute story also, I had some minor problems with some things that did not ring true, like the injury the one guy gets from the pony, but it's a fun read.

If this were a film, I would recommend it to my stoner sister and her boyfriend.

Hmm, I thought I read 8, but I can't think what the other one was. Maybe it wasn't from this contest.

quetee, email me, I'd like to tell you about the worst script I read in this contest but I don't want to post it here in case the writer is around. It was one of my mandatories, and it's so bad, Cammie, my 8-year-old still brings it up now and then. Poor kid is getting quite the education in what not to write.

sometimes i think you purposely try to irk me. This subject had nothing to do to you or any of the other folks and you decide to venture in. Not that there is nothing wrong with that, but your comment "there are no comparisions" is this gonna be the tagline on the movie poster. if not it should be...........

Ohh In comparision to what, the top 250..... ????
maybe i dont get it and im just a ruthless bitch..... wait that was too harsh.... just a bitch.....

Are they in the top 250? that's my new goal. If not, perhaps when I get done with the 250.

BTW - just cause a film is made doesn't mean I want to read it, not trying to be harsh, it's just that one of the scripts I hate most in the entire world was made into a film.

The only way I would go see it is if someone held a gun to my kids heads.

Quetee:I don't even think you read my screenplays, and then we clash on the threads about the winners. I hope you read them, and offer me some feedback? Mark Rydall (Golden Pond) will read Woodpecker as a director on Saturday. I intend to read your short at wordsfromhere.

i admit i have never read your script. To be honest about it, when i get upset it takes me a while to cool off, so i know i will end up reading it down the line because i download it.

My short is not really a short. Its like a mini movie. I have to go back over there and see what stiles and mace have to say. They didnt seem to like it and I can care less. oh well. At least i know you cant please everybody.

Its nice you have a director looking at it, I liked the movie golden pond.
