Why do Reviewers have to be 18 years old to participate?
Some of the submitted screenplays may contain "objectionable," "offensive" or "adult-oriented" material that may not be suitable for readers under 18. Also, in order to participate in the contest, you will be required to enter into certain agreements (such as agreeing to the Official Rules). Most states do not allow people under 18 to enter into such agreements.

Can I register as a Contestant, and then re-register as a Reviewer?
No, you can be one or the other. Once you register on the website, and agree to the Participation Agreement, you are a Reviewer. Until you actually submit a screenplay or a scene, you will not be considered a Contestant in the contest. That's right, once you submit a screenplay or a scene you automatically become a Contestant, while your scene or screenplay is in contention. If you do not advance to the next round of competition you will again be considered a Reviewer for the duration of the contest.

What is to stop me from unfairly bashing a Screenplay Submission or a Scene Submission?
If it is obvious that a Reviewer has done nothing but slam every Screenplay Submission or Scene Submission that comes his or her way (especially with profanity or personal attacks), the reviewing party will be blocked from returning to the site. Using a touch more common sense: if you are a Reviewer, it is assumed that you are interested in reading screenplays and viewing scenes from a place of impartiality. Hence, you will review honestly and fairly, and help us conduct as true a contest as possible. If this is not your intention, we prefer you not register to be a Reviewer.
