Xerox's vision:

An easy, effective way to create and distribute online documentation, in many languages, for printing systems

How TechEmpower brought it to life:

Xerox came to us with a demonstration piece illustrating how its documentation could be distributed as HTML and JavaScript. TechEmpower turned this demo into a workable system for creating and distributing Xerox documentation online. The system supports two distinct groups: end users and the team that creates and manages the documentation.

The technology:

We built the system using HTML and JavaScript. SGML is used as the source that is translated automatically into an online form. This approach allows for translation into multiple languages and greatly simplifies maintenance.

The results:

Xerox has saved a lot of money by reducing the number of manuals it prints. Even better, surveys show that Xerox customers prefer the online documentation. Translations into other languages have been easy and successful.

"TechEmpower really saved us. They were extremely accommodating for all the bumps in the road for the projects, and continued to do such great work-at the last minute and during "off" hours. We really appreciate their efforts.
