Dina C. Johnson, Esq., named COO and VP of Projects at TechEmpower

El Segundo, CA, June 19, 2001 - TechEmpower, Inc. announced the appointment of Dina C. Johnson to the position of Chief Operations Officer and Vice President of Projects. Ms. Johnson, who brings over ten years of professional experience in business and law, is responsible for business operations and planning, as well as managing the delivery process of TechEmpower's projects. The timing for bringing this kind of management strength on board is key, as Ms. Johnson is positioned to lead the development and release of several products that TechEmpower has recently created, as well as bolster the company's service offerings.

Prior to joining TechEmpower, Ms. Johnson served as Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for the Southwest District of Commerce One, Inc. (formally AppNet, Inc.), where she was responsible for managing a sizeable group of technology professionals working on multi-million dollar projects. Prior to moving to Los Angeles to manage AppNet's West Coast division, Ms. Johnson held positions in their Maryland corporate headquarters, first in the finance department to help the company through their IPO process in 1999, and later as their Director of Group Operations.

Ms. Johnson practiced law in both Maryland and Washington, D.C, and will now apply her legal training to manage the company's corporate contracts, confidentiality agreements, statements of work and partnership agreements.

Ms. Johnson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from the College of Notre Dame. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Colorado.
