Message Board FAQs

Why can't I access the message boards?
Only registered users can use the message boards. Register to become a member. If already a member simply sign in.

Can I access all forums on the Message Boards?
As a "Member" (once you register) you will have access to, and are invited to participate in, all Message Board Forums and the chat room.

How do I post a topic?
First sign in. Then choose the forum in which you want to post a topic. Click "Post A New Topic" and enter your subject and message in the provided fields. When finished, click the "Submit" button to add your message to the forum.

How do I reply to a topic?
While inside a forum topic, click on "Post Reply" then, type your reply message in the box provided. If you'd like to quote someone else's message, go to that message and click on the "reply" icon, their message will be quoted in the message field and you can edit it and add your own comments above or below. Either way when finished with your message, click on the "Submit Reply" button at the bottom of the screen to add your reply into the forum.

How do I make a smiley face on the message boards?
Smilies can be used whenever you post a message. Simply click "Smilies Legend" next to the message box. Then, choose the type of smiley you'd like to use under the topic "Graphic That Will Appear." On the same line as your specific smiley in the "Graphic" category, copy the text under the "What to Type" category into the message box. After you've finished typing your message in the message box, click on the "Submit" button to view your newly posted message and smiley.

How do I post an image or photo in a topic?
You can only post images in the Unofficial Greenlight Parties Forum and The Contestants Forum. In all other forums you can post links to photos, but not the images themselves. Post your photo on a webserver. You can use one of the many free services, which will allow you to upload an image file right from your desktop. From there you just need to know the URL of that image. When you post the URL on the board, use this code: after the URL. This will link the photo to your message, and the photo will appear when you post.

How do I format my message?
Optional formatting tags can be used whenever you post a message. Simply click "Optional Formatting" next to the message box for information on formatting your message, inclusing how to add links, bold and italicize your message text, and include images in forums where they are allowed.
