Can my screenplay be shorter than 90 pages? Can it be longer than
130 pages?
The
Official Rules require screenplays to be between 90 and 130 pages
in length, and in industry standard screenplay format. However,
the process of converting a screenplay file into an Adobe® PDF
file may result in the "shrinkage" or "growth"
of the screenplay in page length, or in other minor formatting errors
or deviations from your screenplay's original appearance. After
converting your screenplay into a PDF file, please check to make
certain that the converted version satisfies the 90-130 page length
requirement (see the Official Rules for details on minimum and maximum
page lengths), that the file does not contain errors, that the file
appears as you intend, and that it otherwise complies with the Official
Rules. If PDF conversion "shrinkage," "growth,"
and formatting problems persist, Greenlight will not disqualify
Submissions that suffer from such "shrinkage," "growth,"
or conversion-induced errors if you can later demonstrate to our
satisfaction that (a) the Submission in its original industry-standard
format meets the 90-130 page requirement and conforms to all of
the other specifications set forth in the Official Rules, and (b)
any resulting page loss, growth, or formatting error is due solely
to the PDF conversion process, as determined by Greenlight.
