Format A Screenplay
For those of you who havent already dropped
a couple hundred bucks on either a screenplay writing course, screenwriting
software or one of the seemingly thousands of "How To Write
A Screenplay" books, this is for you
Each screenplay written to be
produced, whether for Hollywood or for Podunk, Iowa (no offense,
Iowa, just the first thing that came to my head), is best done when
it follows the now universal INDUSTRY STANDARD format that has become
the "language of screenwriting" used world-round. Basically,
its all just a bunch of line spacing, margin settings and
tab placements, but the end result is a guideline for filmmakers
as to exactly how the screenwriter sees the movie in his or her
mind.
