Based on a winning screenplay by Pete Jones about a boy's search for the meaning of life, "Stolen Summer" was shot entirely in Chicago, Pete's hometown.
Principal photography lasted one month and followed two months of pre-production. Miramax is expected to release "Stolen Summer" in theatres in March 2002.
