I get the ads from time to time, and it seems cool to be able to slice and dice your story, but the darned thing is so expensive.

Has anyone bought it? Do you use it?

I'm not just talking about Dramatica, I know there are other plotting programs, too. Looking for general feedback.

Yeah, Binky, I've used Dramatica. It's not bad, makes you answer a million questions about your story (the sort of questions you should ask about your story) but I never stick with the treatment once I begin a work, so for me it is a brainstorming tool. I like it though.

Hey, thanks for the feedback.

One followup - once you answer the questions about your story, does it do a good job of letting you view the story from different perspectives (for instance "The Shawshank Redemption" from Andy's viewpoint, etc?)
