If luminous means "NICE RACK" then I'm with you. Pretty eyes, too. You know they are all that when they get that old and still look good. Like Sigourney Weaver. Seeing Aliens gave me an instant fetish for women with shaved heads. IP: Logged |

I have lots of favorite actresses. Jodie Foster (classy, would love to see her in a Xena role) and Holly Hunter (great energy and balls) are great, as are Vicki Lawrence (lots of characters, old style, versatile), Dolly Parton (sincere and honest portrayals), Danielle Harris (wide emotional range), and Mare Winningham for sweetness and versatility, and being so young at heart. And nobody thinks of Cicely Tyson anymore, but she influenced folks from all races with her acting work in ROOTS back in the 1970s. I know she's still working, but she deserves to get some great parts. I still find Demi Moore to have a lot of excitement and a fabulous speaking voice. GHOSTS is one of my favorite movies of all time. I think the actresses who are remembered have a lot of great qualities, but all of them have something memorable and intriguing in their speaking voices. IP: Logged |

I don't think there will ever be another Katherine Hepburn. She changed the face of the female lead far before any of us were ready. In later years, the screen was graced with the presence of Meryl Streep. She has such an eye for detail in her characters; every nuance, every gesture. She's amazing. In more recent times and of the younger generation, I don't think anyone has trumped Jodie Foster although there are a few bright new faces with potential. IP: Logged |
