Ever hear the phrase, "No one hears your screams"? We all think we're good writers and we're just looking for an ear to listen. Hence the million and one posts on project greenlight alone. Tell me about your screenplay. I'm a struggling writer too. But I'm tired of the same old, "Read it, you won't regret it." I've read 5 and my original post "Positive Feedback" seems to have spawned good dialogue between other writers. Tell me something about one you've read that isn't yours and restore my belief in other writers that aren't me.

I hear ya. I've read 2.5 and one was just SICK. tried to be Clockwork orange, but went way bad! The other was boring. I've had like 10 people read mine and they all liked it, the harshest comment i got was it would make a good cable movie. But as i was reading those others i kept thinking to my self, Please god don't let mine be this sucky and people just be nice to me and say they liked it. I tried to pick people that i knew wouldn't spare my feelings and they either really liked it or the cable film line. I still doubt myself, that it's good. If anyone wants to read it, it's FATE TWISTED. It's like fight club kind of. lots of theories but more action than fight club and more laughs (at least in my opinion which isn't much sense i wrote it).

Please someone else tell me a good script to read, I'm starting to think either i will win or i'm demented like the other writers and think i really have talent. I want to know that the whole project isn't just a bunch of wannabies that think they got talant. (I'm not saying i'm not but at this point if i'm not then I'm the only one and the chances of that are slim which would mean i suck like everyone else.)

Sorry about the ranting just was let down by the scripts i read. maybe i just got 2 really bad scripts.

Oh byj0vi, If you think your script is good tell me the name of it i would like to read it.

I've read 8 so far, including my three mandatory.

Flying Blind - a nicely done script. I had a talk with the writer about some similarities with Titanic characters and his reasonings were sound. He took criticism very well, offering back his reasons. I enjoyed it very much.

Flying Mitchell - a very funny script in the vein of Kingpin, Dumb and Dumber and Baseketball. I thought it was very funny, well written, slightly cliched, but good.

Playland - I thought this was the best of what I read. Very good characters, good dialog. This was the first of the Magnolia/Short Cuts type scripts, that slice of life script. He handled it well.

Ingram - the second of the slice of life script. 140 pages long, I read it in one sitting. I enjoyed the characters, the pacing, the dialog. You get the sense, in some parts, that you've seen it before, but it was well done.

Mine is called Multiples. I don't think anyone has read it yet, which is fine. I'm not for pimping like some of these morons on this board.

Basically it is about five identical brothers. One of the brothers, Michael, is able to get out of the family and live his own life. Years later the father wants to get Michael back, so he sends Michael's four brothers on a crusade to Manhattan to get him back. But the 4 brothers decide to take over Michael's life. They take over his job, start sleeping with his wife... I enjoyed writing it.

Anyway. Good luck to all of you out there.

Hey Jedipir8,

I feel your pain. The good scripts are out there. They all have potential. Some need some rewrites. You may want to check out one called TRADE. You can read my post on "Positive Feedback"

Mine is called "25". Think of it as a kinder and gentler "Fight Club." The log line is simple. "High Fidelity" meets "Say Anything."

I will place your script on my list. Thanks for the post.

Hey Stiles,
Don't mean to be doggin ya but, i kind of laughed when you wrote you weren't for pimping your script then in the next line, you tell us about it.

I'm not hating, we all want our scripts read, and do we really think that the more people that read it the better chance we have? no. the first 3 it was asigned to review it and that is what will stick. We just want assurance from the masses that we don't suck, even if we think we know it, it feels good to hear someone likes your script. The more that say it the better we feel.

Bonj0vi (sorry if it's wrong wierd sign) Thanks for the response, since we wrote scripts we both compare to fight club you can bet i'll read it.
