I too am a last minute , pulling up the rear writer. Actually, I waited to see if they were expecting something written for Ben & Matt.
Good luck to ya

Yeah, I tried busting ass on my screenplay when this was first announced, but nothing actually went down on paper.

The closer it gets to Oct. 22st, the easier I find it to write.

Good old fashioned last-minute resorts.

Once again, good luck to all of you,

I just started today, but I have written more than 100 pages in 10 days before, I can certainly write that in 19...just have to commit 8 pages per day so when it's done I have a couple days of review and rewrite before I submit, probably a day before deadline.

My screenplay record was 120 pages in four days. Of course, I don't work full time, and it was complete garbage, but hey. I like to throw those numbers around, because it makes me sound really impressive.

I'm actually planning to write 2 100 page screenplays over an 18 day period and then decide which one of them is least horrifying. These two are the "guy movie" and "girl movie" I'll keep referring to ad nauseum. They don't have titles yet.

thats hilarious siren six, why does it seem like im always posting directly behind you?
to make you all feel better, i just started by script 2 days ago, although the story is a fictionalized account of things i've actually done making it easier. considering the fact that in college i rarely began an essay unless it was due tommorow, i think im doing fairly well. Anyway my goal is to get the free film equipment, or even just the DVD player, and more importantly see if i rank up on high with a national competition with as much publicity as this is getting. So no fears, do your best, and for god's sake get it done!

Your not alone!

Burning the candles at both ends...starting writing Sept 25!! I love it. It's the only way to write a screenplay. I'm on schedule to finish by the weekend, then I'll take a little time to tweak it!

Good luck everyone!!!!

What's wild to me is I keep thinking I'm done. I finish off my script and feel like I've made leaps and bounds since the last draft and I'm finally done with it. And then some new contest deadline comes up, and I feel like I'm starting from scratch. But then I buckle down and rewrite and rewrite and rewrite like mad to get done by the deadline.

I swear after this one, I'm definitely done. (smirk)

I too will be burning the midnight oil to nail this thing. Advice that you may want to consider. Get it in at least 24 hours before the deadline, with site traffic and site crashes you could be so delayed with getting through that you could miss the deadline.

I would go f'ing postal if that happened.

Trying to get to the East Coast to write this screenplay with my partner. It will be nothing short of a miracle I tell you!

What day is it?
What's my motivation?

The odds are against me; I was made from a rib and I'm blonde! Oh, and Adam Sandler's Horoscope for Libra's leaves me wondering when I'll mort from some sexually-transmitted disease.

hahahahaha, I laugh in the face of adversity!

My master Plan is to have this screenplay up-loaded 2 days prior to deadline, which happens to be the DAY before my Birthday.
If my kidney's hold out til' then, I plan on celebrating like you 'read about'!!!

Bottom Line:
If I can make it out of the 'Mother Ship' (LAX), my chances are good.

"I need a young Priest and an old Priest"

Toasting to this wonderful life...
who's with me?

Good Luck to yaselves

I will probably submit my screenplay, which I have yet to begin writing, at 11:59 pm on the last day of the contest. I work much better under pressure!

Good luck to you all !!!

My partner and I have been messing around with different ideas for about a year but never really had time to sit down and write out our screenplay. With our kids and wives and jobs, there just wasn't enough minutes in the day. Anyway, we just started on the day we saw that this contest was starting. We now have less than 3 weeks to finish. Wish us luck.

I just found out about the contest, but I had been working on a script that's all but done for the last several months. So, I just have to come up with an ending and do my reviews by the deadline. I'm nervous about finishing on time, but I'm sure it will get done.

You all have no idea how glad I am to see these postings. I will not say how far behind I and my team feel, but lets just say coming up with a title while registering on the website was an interesting process...
