Hi all, I seem to be having a bit of trouble viewing my mandatory script. I have Adobe Acrobat 4.0. I am also not very handy with computers. I seem to have the tendency to know just enough to get myself into trouble. Can anyone please help me. Thanks IP: Logged |

Most of the time Acrobat will just bring it up in your browser when you click on the link to it. Explain your problem in a little more detail (i.e. what you're doing, what it's doing) and I can help you further. IP: Logged |

Alright Stillwater, here it is. I'm just at my greenlight page and I click on the read button. the next screen i get is a completely white screen void of words except a little tiny icon. I click on that and it says that i do not have the program to open the file IP: Logged |

Well, I just checked and the other members here are saying it's happening all over the place. So since the same thing happens so much, I think it's just a problem with the site itself, much like the contestants' troubles with getting their own script to review instead of one at random. Apparently there are a few bugs in the system... IP: Logged |

Thanks for the help, hopefully the matter will be solved shortly, in the meantime I guess I'll just wait. Thanks. IP: Logged |

About Adobe. I think it would be automatic if you have it. I also think you can download upgrades or stuff. I think it is a greenlight problemo, seniorita. I had no problem with the Good Will Huntings' 20 pages on the main thing. How does a regular guy like me, over flowing with machismo and brutal honesty get into reading a judging these screen plays?

Well, tip number one is to first put away the machete. (Thus endeth my sage advice for the day.)

Dear Second Rising Sun, Yikes!! (just kidding) Uh, if I may offer a suggestion... remember to always focus on the positive first-- what you liked about a script-- before getting into the constructive criticism. Sincerely, mc :-) IP: Logged |

Tricia, Not sure if this is the problem, but just yesterday I downloaded and installed Acrobat 4.0 and when I accessed the script I am supposed to review, it opened just fine in Netscape version 4.6. Maybe you need the new version to open the scripts. You can get the free Adobe reader at this url... http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html Hope this helps IP: Logged |

I'm still having that difficulty. I'm working on getting the new Adobe from that link so we'll see what happens. Thanks. IP: Logged |

<<<<<Originally posted by vagabond76: I'm still having that difficulty. I'm working on getting the new Adobe from that link so we'll see what happens. Thanks.>>>>> Try renaming the suffix on the file from ".asp" to ".pdf" which is what most Reader programs on PCs seem to need in order to read the file. Davout IP: Logged |
