First. What is the purpose of filling out my own review? I thought once that I filled in the 5 questions for script specific things that I was done. I can understand the need to include the logline, synopsis, etc. but a critque, similiar movies, etc.!!! Secondly, when I got to page 5 I got an error and had to start all over again. AGGHHH!!! That is maddening. And it happened IP: Logged |

I'm having the same problem. If you want to at least get some of you own review done, you can fill out all but one question on the third page. When you click on "next" it will pop up telling you you need to fill out that one question. If you do, It still won't let you submit, but at least it will save the stuff you did fill out, so it doesn't all erase. Hope that helps RAK IP: Logged |

I'm having the same problem, except I can't even get past page 3, which is rather frustrating. I get either an error message or a blank screen, and I lose most of the character information on that page and have to re-enter it. Hopefully this'll get fixed soonest... One can hope. I was having the same problem that everyone is having. It has something to do with the synopsis question. If you keep your synopsis real short, I am talking a sentence or two, then it should work. That's what I did. I just copied cut and paste my log line into the synopsis section and moved on. I hope it isn't an issue later on cause it wouldn't work any other way. IP: Logged |

I was having the same problem, but I just figured it out. As Blarner said, keep the synopsis short as possible. By "paragraphs" they mean one to two sentences per. Same with the brief commentary. I think everyone will have this problem, so we're all in the same boat. Good luck to everyone! IP: Logged |

I was having the same trouble with pages 3 and 5. I "solved" it by keeping the synopsis to one sentence and the additional comments on page 5 to two sentences. And now I can't read my first script. Sigh... IP: Logged |

CLick on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of each discussion page to reach Tech Support. I've done it, but haven't heard back yet. I whittled down my comments to the minimum per the advice above, but now all I get when I hit the Next button on Page 3 is a black screen with only the Greenlight logo at the top. Anyone else getting this? Anyone have any suggestions? IP: Logged |

quote: I think the purpose of filling out one's own review is to force the writer to actually have some familiarity with the form before filling it out for other scripts. I know it's hard to believe, but a lot of writers don't like to read other people's scripts. I think having us do our own review is a not too subtle psychological ploy to make us take other people's scripts as seriously as we want to be taken. Of course, I could be wrong. IP: Logged |

Right after I wrote the last reply, I received the following in an e-mail from Greenlight.
I guess they heard your question telepathically IP: Logged |

the personal review was kinda cool. it not only helped me evaluate my own screenplay, but it got me ready for the later reviews. pretty cool concepts all around. well played. IP: Logged |
