Crew Bio
Name: Elizabeth
Hometown: Paradise Island
Occupation: 2nd Assistant Camera

What attracted you to the Entertainment Industry, and what was your first job or big break in the business?
I wanted to work really long hours and have very little sleep. My dream has come true.

What is the biggest challenge you faced trying to break into the industry, and how did you overcome it?
I had a big problem with crystal meth. I met Pete Biagi at a methadone clinic and he turned my life around.

What advice can you give those trying to break into the "industry?"
There are no more job openings in the "industry" at this time.

Please describe your job for those who might not know what a 2nd Assistant Camera person is.
I assist the 1st Assistant Camera. Set up and organize camera equipment. "Slate" each take, keep a log of each shot, including description, lens size, filters, film-stock, f stop, and camera to subject distance. I also look for the DP's cowboy hat.

Can you share any tricks of the trade that help you work faster/cheaper/better?
Faster - Colt 45
Cheaper - Shlitz
Better - Sam Adams

Please illustrate the way the performance of your position can help or hurt a movie. Name a movie that you've seen (or worked on) that we could view and understand the difference between a good job and a bad job.
I have no impact on the final product. I am a part of the "collective." At the end of the night I am strapped into the camera truck for a "rest period." The truck goes from show to show. Resistance is futile.

Are you a writer, and if so, how many screenplays have you written?
I have written 3 screenplays, but the CIA confiscated them.

What's the best lesson you've learned in regards to working in Hollywood?
"Hollywood" doesn't care about you, take care of yourself. Don't do anything you think is unsafe. Absurd is another story.

What advice would you give to writers on how to craft a script that addresses practical production issues?
No kids, animals or drug addicted actors.

What advice would you give a director on how to make production easier?
I recommend claymation and quaaludes, dudes.

For God's sake, use panavision cameras and get a camera truck.
