What attracted you to the Entertainment Industry, and what was your first job or big break in the business?
Film was the first medium I found that incorporates everything - light, words, music, pictures...even plumbing and electricity. My first job was a grip/electric on a low-budget feature called "Straight to the Heart."
What is the biggest challenge you faced trying to break into the industry, and how did you overcome it?
Getting that first paid job, which let me quit the day job. I got in because I knew someone who was working on the project and they needed grips.
What advice can you give those trying to break into the "industry?"
Don't give up, but you gotta mean it. There's already too many unqualified people floating in it, so don't try if you don't mean it.
Please describe your job for those who might not know what a Dolly Grip is.
A Dolly Grip pushes the dolly (the little cart the camera rides on), sets up the track for it, and helps the camera crew with support.
Can you share any tricks of the trade that help you work faster/cheaper/better?
No!!!

One set, two or three actors.
What advice would you give a director on how to make production easier?
Trust your people!!! You've hired them, let them do their jobs.
