Crew Bio
Name: Adriana Cornejo
Hometown: Chicago, IL
Occupation: Intern PA

What attracted you to the Entertainment Industry, and what was your first job or big break in the business?
There's a lot of glitz and glamour behind the entertainment business, and I suppose it was this that first caught my attention. I found myself curious about how they did it all. I worked as a PA on an Independent film last summer for Borracco film's "crocodile."

What is the biggest challenge you faced trying to break into the industry, and how did you overcome it?
Trying to get people to trust me as a reliable, responsible person who works hard to get the job done was probably the most difficult challenge. I overcame this by proving myself to a few people and, in gratitude: they helped me out and told others about my work.

What advice can you give those trying to break into the "industry?"
A lot of the industry is about you please and who you displease. Be careful about who you work with and take whatever lessons you learned with you to your next project. Push yourself to do whatever you can to better your chances of working on something else soon.

Please describe your job for those who might not know what a PA Intern is.
A PA is there to do whatever everyone else is too busy to do. He/She does it quickly, efficiently and without complaint.

Can you share any tricks of the trade that help you work faster/cheaper/better?
Ask questions if your confused about anything. Always ask someone who is not constantly busy or extremely important to the project. Be aware of your surroundings at all times and keep a generally good attitude about things.

Please illustrate the way the performance of your position can help or hurt a movie. Name a movie that you've seen (or worked on) that we could view and understand the difference between a good job and a bad job.
You need to be there, need to be busy, and when you're not, get busy! Wish I could name a couple movies for you - but I guess I haven't gotten quite there yet.

Are you a writer, and if so, how many screenplays have you written?
N/A

What's the best lesson you've learned in regards to working in Hollywood?
Rejection can come often. Don't take it too personally.

What advice would you give a director on how to make production easier?
I'd attempt to work with people that get a long and that are easy to get along with. Teamwork is essential to a good production.
