What attracted you to the Entertainment Industry, and what was your first job or big break in the business?
What attracted me to the Entertainment Industry was the chance to tell good stories and share them with an audience. My first job was as a Production Assistant on an independent film called "Israel in Exile."
What advice can you give those trying to break into the "industry?"
I would say to be confident and be persistent. Do research and information interviews. Work for no pay. Through experience is where you meet people that will help you with your career.
Please describe your job for those who might not know what a Production Intern is.
Production Intern is an assistant in the production office and on set. Generally, a Production Intern assists in all departments, to anyone and everyone that needs assistance in order to facilitate their jobs.
Can you share any tricks of the trade that help you work faster/cheaper/better?
Always...always...always write things down. It is very important to be ready to write down what other people need you to do. Things move so fast that people don't have time to repeat instructions.
Are you a writer, and if so, how many screenplays have you written?
Yes, I am a writer. I have written two screenplays.
What advice would you give a director on how to make production easier?
I don't know exactly how to make production easier, however, I think what is most important is to stay true to the spirit of the script. Based on that, if things can be changed to make the production "easier," then so be it.
