What attracted you to the Entertainment Industry, and what was your first job or big break in the business?
I've wanted to be a filmmaker since as far back as I can remember. My first professional job was on an independent feature shot in Chicago called "Ball in the House."
What advice can you give those trying to break into the "industry?"
Keep trying.
Please describe your job for those who might not know what a P.A. is.
An assistant to everyone involved in production. On set we do "lock ups" which involves making sure everyone in your designated area is aware when the camera is rolling and when it is not. Otherwise, we certainly help whoever needs it.
Can you share any tricks of the trade that help you work faster/cheaper/better?
Ask questions and pay attention.
Are you a writer, and if so, how many screenplays have you written?
No.
What advice would you give a director on how to make production easier?
A good Assistant Director.
