What attracted you to the Entertainment Industry and what was your first job or big break in the business?
I've always loved acting. My first job was acting in a play at a small theatre in San Francisco and I'm still waiting for my big break!
What is the biggest challenge you faced trying to break into the industry and how did you overcome it?
Dealing with rejection. I learned that rejection is part of the process, it's nothing personal, plus sometimes you actually do get the job.
What advice can you give those trying to break into the "industry?"
Be persistent.
Please describe your character in "Stolen Summer" and why you were attracted to the role.
Nancy is a relative in the wake scene. She has a dry sense of humor that was fun to play with.
Can you share any tricks of the trade that help you work better as an actor?
I always try to be the type of actor a director would want to work with again: relaxed, focused, open to ideas, willing to take risks etc.
Are you also a writer and if so, how many screenplays have you written?
What's the best lesson you've learned in regards to working in Hollywood?
Relax and be yourself.
What advice would you give to writers on how to craft a script that can help actors better understand or relate to their character?
Every human being has their own way of speaking that is unique to them, if the dialogue is well written and specific to the character and the relationships are clear and strong then you've already given the actor a lot of help.
What advice would you give a director on how to make your job as an actor easier on set?
A director with a strong sense of vision and the ability to be flexible is a pleasure to work with.
