What attracted you to the Entertainment Industry and what was your first job or big break in the business?
I wasn't really attracted to it. It attracted me. My brother was in "Unsolved Mysteries" and the director thought I was clever and charismatic and told my mom to sign me up with some agents. Eventually, it was whittled down to one agent. My first job was a PetCare commercial where I was dancing with a ten-pound Bugle puppy in my arms.

What is the biggest challenge you faced trying to break into the industry and how did you overcome it?
I've never had any problem in acting or breaking into it.

What advice can you give those trying to break into the "industry?"
Try to be yourself and never try to look better just because you think you'll have more luck in the industry. Never change just because it'll have a bigger impact on people. Fame never comes at that high of a price.

Please describe your character in "Stolen Summer" and why you were attracted to the role.
My character is a friend of Seamus and Pete's who is very into baseball and doesn't like wheat bread. I wasn't attracted to the role, I actually auditioned for a different part but I was given this one.

Can you share any tricks of the trade that help you work better as an actor?
Mostly, try to become the character that you are auditioning for, and also try to charm the cast/crew by being witty or charismatic. But never be phony. Always be you.

Are you also a writer and if so, how many screenplays have you written?
No, I am not a writer but someday I hope to write a screenplay.

What's the best lesson you've learned in regards to working in Hollywood?
One, actors never have it easy. Even extras work hard. One day on set they were filming a scene and it was pouring rain. Everyone was soaked. Never think that actors are pampered.

What advice would you give to writers on how to craft a script that can help actors better understand or relate to their character?
First, I'd probably try to make a rough idea of the character in my head. Then, choose 2 or 3 actors/actresses that represent the character. Next, I'd talk to those people to find out, if offered, would they take the part. Finally, take any suggestions that the actor/actress has. Voila! The actor would then understand the character.

What advice would you give a director on how to make your job as an actor easier on set?
Well, I did try getting the director, Mr. Peter Jones to use his credit card to get me some BBQ Baby Back Ribs. That would've made things easier. But basically, don't push the actors too hard and try to make the movie the best it can be.
