Question #14
"The Verification Question"

Another element of the "project greenlight Coverage Form" that you will need to be aware of is "Question #14." This question is designed to help ensure that each participant who reviews your screenplay has read it completely and accurately as possible.

For "Question #14", you will be asked to come up with FIVE "True or False" questions about your screenplay. Be sure the questions you enter are obvious and easy enough to answer for anyone who reads your screenplay. Why??? Well, if you make them too difficult, you might end up eliminating a review from someone who really liked your screenplay!

For example…
Don't make your questions too specific:

Q: Will sees Skylar at the bar on pg. 17.
(True or False)

And, don't make your questions too subjective:

Q: Will is Skylar's "type."
(True or False)

Instead, create questions that are clear with answers that will be obvious enough to anyone who has read the screenplay, like:

Q: Will dies in the end.
(True or False)

OR:

Q: Will lives in Boston.
(True or False)

Finally, just remember to be as careful and honest as possible in filling out your Personal Review, as well as each of the Reviews that you fill out of other screenplays in the contest. As noted in the Official Rules, project greenlight will be looking for discrepancies between all the reviews and anyone judged to have submitted a Review or Personal Review containing misleading or inaccurate information will be disqualified from the contest.
